New/ Current Paintings are my latest and ongoing paintings. Here you see my shift in style and context, moving towards a new direction of the female body as commodity and the imposed ideal beauty by mass media. Being surrounded with the so called "ideal beauty" by mass media, that many have started to worship such images to the extend of even commodifying themselves through cosmetic surgery.

Beach Paradise Series was first created in 2003 for my final year project & was exhibited at Singapore Expo in May 2003, NAFA INFINATE Diploma Grad Show. The used of vibrant colours and bikini models which attracts your attention is similar to how mass media tampered with our perception of beauty and sensuality. The use of real sand indicates the ever-changing trends of our modern day human life making us lack certain thoughts of mellowness.

"Miss" a title or salute given to the female gender, it's also a title of various status, awards or decorations like Miss Universe, Miss Singapore... etc. Miss Status Series engages the modern day Singaporean social perception, how we deem women to be recognize by their status. I have created various paintings of Missy series such as Miss 36.7 about SARS which hit Singapore badly, Miss Society about self-satisfying oneself, Miss Patriotic about nationalism of modern society and many others which provoke you to think deeper into my seductive paintings of Miss Status Series.

New inspirations artworks that happened over time...

"Huh?!" was done in 2002, it was the beginning of my pop style which involves in vectoring/layering the model which indicates how deep a person's character is no matter how he or she looks. And most of the time we are just attracted by beautiful appearance which my vibrant colours represents.

"4 Deco." & "4 Deco.Too" is purely for the purpose of decoration, whereby i purposely create art to look decorative & cheerful to be placed & displayed in various layout depending on the mood of the owner. 4 deco. is a rather light & cheerful work whereas 4 Deco Too contain a little taste of seriousness in it.
